Who we are
Lowcountry Story Co. is a trade name of Lowcountry Tech Solutions LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company, 3499 Stockton Dr, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466-6967. Email: contact@lowcountrytechsolutions.com. We are responsible for the information described here.
While orders are closed
We are not taking orders yet. If you use the questionnaire now, the answers you send are checked for completeness by our server and discarded at once: nothing is stored, and no account or order is created.
What we collect
Your name and email address; the answers you give in the questionnaire (first names and optional last names, relationships, pronouns, ages, interests, a town, and the topics to leave out); and payment status from our payment processor. We never receive your card number.
Children
This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children, and children cannot place orders. A parent or guardian may give us a child’s first name, age, and interests so we can write the book; we ask for nothing more — no photos, addresses, school records, or contact details for the child. We invent every teacher and staff member and use a made-up school name by default.
How we use it
Only to write, check, and deliver your book, to answer you, and to keep the business records the law requires. We do not sell or share your information for advertising, and we use no advertising trackers.
On your device
The order form keeps a draft of your answers in your own browser (local storage), so a closed tab or a failed checkout loses nothing. That draft stays on your device; clear it with your browser’s site-data settings. We set no cookies and run no analytics.
Who processes it
- Stripe — the seller of record and payment processor, shown at checkout as Link. It receives your payment details and billing information directly and handles your receipt, any tax, and payment support under its own privacy policy. We never receive your card number.
- Anthropic — the AI models that write the book receive your questionnaire answers through its commercial API, which by default does not use API data to train models.
- Cloudflare — hosts this site.
- Our email provider — to send your download link.
How long we keep it
We delete your questionnaire answers, the manuscript, and the files 30 days after delivery. We keep the order record (order number, email, amount, date) as long as tax law requires.
Your choices
Email contact@lowcountrytechsolutions.com to get a copy of your data or to delete it sooner. We will confirm within 7 days.
